Pitango works with companies in the initial stages of development, focusing on core areas of high-tech. Pitango has invested over 200 times and made 85 exits. Rami was made managing partner in 2000. In the 18 years that followed the company was involved in a variety of deals which resulted in successful exits for Fortune 500 companies like Broadcom, Marvel and Cisco.

Even though it appears that Rami Beracha succeeds in everything that he's chosen to pursue, his life wasn't always so easy. Beracha like many Israelis, joined the army when he was just a young man. He was a Paratrooper's Brigade combat soldier and fought in the Lebanon War. Rami was part of a rescue group which helped wounded soldiers on a minefield. It was the year 1983. Rami fell on the mines and fellto the ground, loosing his foot and his hand.
His rehabilitation period in the hospital was one of the most challenging experiences in his entire life. He was in a state of disarray and unable to get up and about, and ultimately fell into depression and despair. His hopes to further his military career seemed lost , and he did not know who or what he really was. Rami found the strength to dream and live through his pain. He made the decision to get stronger and stronger than he was before the injury. Rami took on the challenge of trying different extreme sports. He is now a kitesurfer (and snowboarding), and has even hiked Mount Kilimanjaro. He's always looking to improve his skills and is feeling like his former unwounded self is driving him along.

Rami donates to and volunteers in many organizations. He is also passionate about helping young soldiers, just like him, get wounded in combat. In 2016, Rami led a group of men who sustained injuries while on army service on a trip to Nepal. In the year 2018, he earned the rank of Major in the fire brigades and paratroopers within the Israeli military. He was able to fulfill the dreams of his youth despite the challenges. His passion and story are a true inspiration to others. Rami did not let his injuries hold him down. He continued to learn and experimenting until he became stronger than ever.
